It is the most challenging and most rewarding, especially when you see skeptics turned ambassadors for Harmony Living

It is most challenging because clients expect us to work wonders to improve their sales revenue. The premises provided to us to work on is always difficult and every case that comes to us now is getting more complicated as we move from one project to the next.

It is also most rewarding because of the results that we produce for our clients. Most of our new clients are recommended or referred by our existing clients through the word of mouth. This shows that our clients have experienced the results and changes brought to their lives and business livelihood. It is always good to know that we have done something beneficial for our clients.

The key to our success rate is we always ensure that we produce the results we promise the client. We explained the limitations, if any, the capacity and the timeframe when the expected results will come. We are upfront with the clients if the expected results can be met or NOT.

We always focus on these two key performance index i.e. the customers we bring to them and the amount of dollars they spend. Achieve these for the client, it is already money well-spent for them.

For details of our services, please visit www.harmonyliving.sg
Francis M Limhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05459160066556683393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540034777297323407.post-67863885179710166282010-04-18T16:26:00.001+08:002010-06-17T00:57:21.952+08:00Fate and WisdomKnowing the difference between fortune-telling and life-destiny counseling is important. Many will have you believe that life-destiny consultation is evil and bad and runs foul with religious belief but what they do not realized is that it is no different than being in a room with religious counselors who is trying to straighten out a person's life.

If you are being told that you will be getting a big contract in three months and you do nothing to ensure you truly deserve getting the contract, you are relying on fate and that is fortune-telling. For this reason, fortune-telling lacks moral significance.

But if you are being told of such an opportunity and you ask what you can do to ensure you get the contract, then you are seeking the wisdom to produce the results you worked hard for. This is the big difference between fortune-telling and professional life-destiny counseling.Francis M Limhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05459160066556683393noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540034777297323407.post-45236576735949707272010-06-17T00:14:00.002+08:002010-06-17T00:54:00.645+08:00Singapore's Orchard Road Major Flood Since 1984Somebody's job is on the line. Heavy rain was reported on 16 June 2010 and from 8am to 11am, 100millimetres of rainfall were recorded, causing major flood in areas such as Orchard Road. (Source: Channel News Asia).

Due to the flood situation, businesses are disrupted, properties damaged, safety of people were affected plus a whole lot of other issues that will come up the next couple of days.

One common reason floods happen is when there is very heavy rain and high tide at the same time. Floods happen during these time because water from the sea is going upstream and heavy rain fall is pushing water to the rivers and canals. Over a short period of time, the water level simply goes up and over flows to the roads and any other low lying areas.

However, a quick check with Singapore's National Environment Agency's website http://app2.nea.gov.sg/tidetime.aspx shows that on 16 June 2010 at 0756 hrs it was low tide and the next high tide was at 1458 hrs. From 8am to 11am, it wasn't high tide and this proves that somewhere along the Stamford Canal there are blockages. Water along the canal isn't moving out fast enough.

First thing that comes to mind is that the Marina Barrage would be at fault. It is meant to prevent more sea water from coming into the river system and to flush out swelling river water into the sea when the risk of flood is high. If flood happened, it could mean it is not flushing out quickly enough.

But then, if there are blockages upstream, the water level near Marina Barrage would have been at a safe level and the system would not have activated to flush out the swelling river water.

Hence, looking at the situation from a logical standpoint, it is more likely that there are some blockages on the upstream. Somebody, some company will be looking at the wrath of Singapore law staring right in front of their eyes.Francis M Limhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05459160066556683393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540034777297323407.post-78509971583324556862010-04-13T17:11:00.010+08:002010-04-20T18:58:57.961+08:00The Early Heaven StoryHere is a pictorial story of Early Heaven.

A beautiful view of a clear blue-sky.

<img style="display: block; There is actually no right time but the best time. By the time a person decides to engage a Feng Shui practitioner, they are most likely in a dire situation. Those who engages Feng Shui consultant very early are either true-believers of the Chinese Art or they have seen and experienced the true results of what Feng Shui can do or has done for them. For these people, their objective now is not about how to recover from dire situations but how to improve and take another level forward from where they are at the moment. This is how amazing Feng Shui can be used by everyone.

For Feng Shui audits, the time to engage a Feng Shui consultant is BEFORE buying a property, any property. You want to engage a Feng Shui practitioner because you want to make sure the land and the property is good, Feng Shui-wise. You want to ensure the land is able to collect and retain vital land energy where the prospective property lies. You want to ensure the land is auspicious and you as the new owner is able to tapped on the available auspicious energy. You want to ensure the land and property is suitable for you and your purpose.

But suppose you have already bought the property but have not moved in yet. You will want to engage a Feng Shui practitioner to evaluate the property and determine what can to be done to match the occupants with the surrounding environment. This is an important step that new property owners need to take. Proper planning to locate all entrances and exits, the design of all walkways, corridors and room allocation are important considerations. This planning is to help create energy flow within the property. You need to be able to channel the energy from the outside and circulate it on the inside. Failure to do so creates a mediocre living environment.

Next, what if you have already staying in the property? You need to assess your current life situation. It is usually related to your career, business, work, family, relationships, financial situation, and health. Are they all balanced? Are there any issues that you need to focus your time on? Do you need to improve any of the situations? If yes, this would be the time to engage a Feng Shui practitioner. If any of those life issues are well balanced, it simply means that you are already enjoying what life has given you. You just need to maintain and continue to do what you do best. However, you need to monitor if changes starts to be noticeable. This is an indication that changes are happening and you need to know why and what steps can be taken to minimize the impact and how long the implications will affect you. This, a Professional Feng Shui practitioner can be your guiding light.Francis M Limhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05459160066556683393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540034777297323407.post-27223743718368502492010-04-11T16:28:00.002+08:002010-04-20T16:32:12.917+08:00Qing Ming Festival 清明节I was in Penang recently to celebrate ‘Qing Ming’ festival. Qing Ming festival is a celebration where the descendants remember and honour their ancestors at their grave site. It is a time to do ‘house-keeping’ by cleaning up the area around the grave, pulling out the weeds, ensuring the tablets are cleaned, the wordings on the tombstone are re-painted with fresh coat of paint and maintain the overall façade of the grave.

Over a period of twelve months, there will be rain and the earth, sand over the grave may get washed away. A depressed, crater-like grave does not look very ‘healthy’. Thus, it is also a time to ‘top-up’ the earth to create a small ‘hump’ over the grave. There are also services being offered to plant carpet-grass over the grave. It is nice idea that not only makes the grave look nice, it will also hold the earth from being washed away by the rain.

Traditionally, if one follows the way of Taoist practice, the first thing to do after arriving at the cemetery is to proceed to the main temple that governs the whole graveyard. One would offer prayers before proceeding to the grave of their ancestors.
Once at the ancestor’s grave, the descendants would clean up the grave and start to offer prayers. If you have been to a Chinese grave, you will notice a small tablet on the side of the grave, usually on the right if facing it. This is the God of the Earth and the descendant would first pray to the God of the Earth, request permission and to summon their ancestors, informing them that their descendants are there.

Depends on the family tradition, sometimes you will see the family members putting on gold and silver-colored paper over the grave. This is to symbolize the patching up of their ancestor’s home in the after-world. Sometimes you will find multi-colored papers as well. This is just in case the water-heater needs servicing or the roof-top needs to be repaired, etc. Consider this as maintenance work for their homes in afterlife.

Sometimes you will also find the descendants burning what looks like bank notes or money, paper shirts, and paper shoes. This is all symbolic to signify the offerings of ‘buying’ new shirts and shoes and giving their ancestors cash allowances to spend in their world. The value on the bank notes ranges from the smallest denomination to millions. Nowadays, you can find mobile phone, laptop computers and modern luxuries being offered to their ancestors. Whether they know how to use it is another story altogether.

When I was there one morning to follow the Qing Ming rituals, there were also other families who burn firecrackers, pretty much like during the Chinese New Year.
After all the prayers are carried out, the family members world feast on the food and drink they brought for the worship to signify family reunion with the ancestors.Francis M Limhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05459160066556683393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540034777297323407.post-86733908778124309642010-01-08T16:20:00.004+08:002010-04-20T16:26:11.220+08:00100% Effective TrainingSomeone once asked how can we tell what the teacher teaches is 100% effective. A seemingly simple question.

Today the market is flooded with courses on Feng Shui and Destiny Analysis. Lillian Too was undoubtedly the pioneer who started to popularise Feng Shui to the western world, targeting the English-speaking audience. A lot of non-Chinese speaking students would pay tribute to her for bringing this art alive to their world. Thereafter, the likes of Raymond Lo, Joseph Yu, Joey Yap just to name a few, started to sprout the world over. We are thankful for their contribution to bring the art of Chinese Metaphysics alive to the world.

Before we can tell if a teaching is effective, we must first try to understand the objective of a teacher. In today’s highly commercialised world, the first objective is to make money and the second objective is how much money to make. The second objective is more important and here is why.

If the objective is to make lots of money, the more general the information you are going to get. The bigger the market share to capture, the more diluted the teachings will be. Teachings will be tailored according to what is more popular in the market. It does not matter if the methods taught are usable or not. Just teach what the others are teaching and try to make more money than the other instructors.

You will also find that many sub-topics are created from a single topic. This is called milking the cow while it still has milk. With the number two objective high on the list, would you still think you are getting the real stuff? They will protect their interest first and least of all, to allow you to be their competitor with what they teaches you.

Thus, we can forget about learning the real thing from the mass-marketers, let alone 100% effective teachings.

There is another group of teachers whom you hardly hear about them. Occasionally, you will hear their name being mentioned in blogs and forums. You never see them on TV, newspapers, and no annual convention-hall type of seminars. You don’t even know how they looked like. To this group of teachers, the number two objective is not important because they already have enough to last a few generations. They have their own source of income and they are effectively using their Chinese Metaphysics knowledge to grow their other source of income. They do not depend their livelihood by peddling Feng Shui products and services. This is the true effectiveness of Feng Shui at work.

Let’s say you are lucky enough to meet the second group of teachers, would you be learning the real stuff? You will, eventually, but not as fast as you want it to be. It takes time. You can be assured that you will be given proper direction but the information will be released in small bits. Sometimes information is given without you even realising it because you have not reached the stage of grasping the knowledge. It is after much practice and thinking that you will realised that yes, it was taught but could never comprehend.

What the teacher may be looking for is your ability to absorb the knowledge, your integrity as a person and your loyalty to the group and family. I am not saying that this is the rule. It is my perception that all genuine masters will be looking out for transfer of knowledge and they will have their own criteria, in their own time. You would be doing the same if you are in their shoes. Offend your teachers at your own peril.

So, the first part of getting to know if the methods taught are 100% effective is to find a teacher who has been practicing the real art, who has created real, tangible results for himself and his clients. The second part is getting him to teach you the basic foundation that is usable. And the third part is to practice and use it yourself to truly experience the real results of 100% effective Feng Shui methods. This is the only way to know if the method is 100% effective because you have learned it, done it and seen it work yourself.

Do you need a lifetime to see results? No, a few hours at best, the longest in 6 months.

Can you become a credible Feng Shui consultant just by attending a 3-day course? Something to think about……Francis M Limhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05459160066556683393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540034777297323407.post-10441498654565572252010-01-05T16:17:00.001+08:002010-04-20T16:20:08.579+08:00How we read Bazi for Employee Selection
Is Employee selection based on Day Master?

A question was asked if the employee selection is based on Day Master.

Essentially, when we read a BaZi chart, we read the chart in its entirety i.e. we read the basic four pillars together with the Luck Pillar and Annual Pillar. The basic foundation of Zi Ping Ba Zi is to take the Day Master as the reference point and using the other 3 pillars to determine its influence to the Day Master. These basic four pillars will give us the “picture” of who the person is, the personality, the strength and weaknesses plus a few other factors of the potential candidate. This is where we will evaluate and determine the “job-fit” with the employer. We will present our analysis but the final decision comes from the employer.

Complexity of BaZi

Humans are complicated creature. We are influenced by a lot of factors coming from all angles. For example, if you are familiar with the construction of a BaZi chart, you already know that the Day Master, that is you, are influenced by your Grand-Parents, Parents, Siblings and Children, if any. This is one layer. Each one of us re-acts to a certain way when probed by external environment and this reaction is our personality, as seen by people around us, developed over the years ever since we were a child. Hence, to understand a person, we need to know what the individual is made-up of and these can be found in the four pillars of a BaZi chart.

Difference between Divination and BaZi Reading

Sometimes practitioners will use the Day Master alone together with some “Gua-pictures'” to derive an answer. This method of reading is what we call ‘Divination’ reading. If used correctly, it is fairly accurate. The only setback is that to get an answer, you need to have a question. And the method used to get the answer is only valid at that point of time. Using it again at another time will get you a different answer.

Once we have analysed the 4 pillars, we will evaluate the Luck Pillar the candidate is going through. All employers want to hire employees who can contribute to the success of the company. They want employees who are effective, efficient and productive. The Luck Pillars will give us the information. It is about timing and timing is the essence of maximising opportunities when it is right.

We always based the employee selection on Day Master in conjunction with the other pillars to derive a complete picture. The Day Master is the representation of the individual and combined with all the Pillars, it tells us the full story of the individual.Francis M Limhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05459160066556683393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540034777297323407.post-10149758242565874822010-01-03T16:13:00.001+08:002010-04-20T16:15:34.887+08:00Employee SelectionOver the years, psychologists have put in a great amount of effort to scientifically lay out the process of personality characterisation. Major multi-national corporation conducts personality profile tests for all potential new-hires to determine job fit. Nowadays, major corporations are also getting the help of Chinese Metaphysics Practitioners to determine if the potential new employee is able to contribute to the success of the company.

The one difference is, the scientific way needs the subject to sit for the profile tests while the traditional way just needs the date of birth (available from the application form), even better if the time of birth is available. Meeting the candidate is not necessary.

The traditional Chinese philosophy uses the Yin-Yang of the five elements to establish the personality traits, the capability of the subject and more importantly, the mindset of the subject is going through.

The mindset is important because it is usually being influence by the state of life they having now and in future. If a subject is having a troubled mindset, beset with a variety of issues, it will be a tough call to get a highly effective and efficient performance on the job. Most major corporation wants this eliminated as early as possible. One option an employer can look at to ensure they hire the right person for the right job is to engage a Chinese Metaphysics practitioner to carry out a complete profile of the potential employee.

Drop me an email if you want to know more about employee selection.Francis M Limhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05459160066556683393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540034777297323407.post-48591477424483637052009-12-31T16:09:00.003+08:002010-04-20T16:13:23.929+08:00Why choosing land is importantThe government of Singapore announces that a total of 10 industrial land sites will be for sale in the first half of 2010. Now before you mobilize your army to start the bidding war, it will be worth your while to take a step back and re-consider some options that you have in your hands. The number one option is to consider proper land selection and the industry it will serve. What is proper land selection?

Just like all project feasibility studies, the first thing we need to assess is if the prospective piece of land ("the subject") is vibrant and full of energy. Is the subject getting into the "Growing Qi" phase or is it in the "Depleting Qi" phase? Are there any more vibrant Qi left for the occupants of the subject to tap on?

The next thing we want to know is timing. Has the timing for prosperity from this land past? Or, it is coming soon?

When the above is confirmed, you will want to know if the subject is good for the planned industry. For example, if the industrial site is to cater for metal industry such as metal sheets producer, hardware nuts and bolts, etc, is the piece of land good for such an industry? What we are looking for is to find a piece of land that supports the industry and allowing it to grow within a short period of time and create a boom for the industry. You can put wood carving, furniture manufacturing in that area but the growth will be never be the same. Thus, the key is knowing the real potential of the land and matching it with your industry to guarantee faster success.

Once you know that this land is good for the industry you planned for, now you want to strategise and plan the locations of your entrances, your executive management offices, and the flow of energy within the estate and the interiors of all the buildings. This is the time to maximise the available Qi we can tap from the surrounding area. If you are constructing the building to lease out to others, you should know the guaranteed take-up rate of 75% even before the completion. Don't know how? Talk to us.

It is only after considering the above, you can decide if it is worth your time and money investing in those industrial lands, or any land for that matter, that you come across. Perhaps, the next proposal that is laid on your desk before your eyes?Francis M Limhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05459160066556683393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540034777297323407.post-15965544086320477462009-12-26T16:05:00.001+08:002010-04-20T16:07:53.925+08:00Why you need to understand peopleAll of us have come across various people from all walks of life. We interact with them and work with them in our daily life whether you like it or not. They will come with different personality and behaviour characteristics. Some are sweet, some are difficult, some demanding, some are helpful, some are unreasonable and some are pleasant. And the list goes on.

In order to get through our day with our sanity intact, we need to understand people, their personality and why they are who they are. When you understand why people respond as they do, it is often easier to be patient with them rather than becoming exasperated.

For example, Michael likes to focus one thing at a time. Having understood this will encourage you not to interrupt him unless necessary and to be less upset if he is impatient with you when you interrupt him.

At the same time, knowing how you come across to others may help you moderate your behaviour. For instance, just by understanding that you are a higher risk taker than others, it should help you understand that their negative respond is not personal but coming from their aversion to undertake additional risks. You may need to get your ideas clearly laid out and explain why the risks can be managed.

Taking the effort to understand others makes our life easier, be it working life, social life and personal life. Equally, understanding how others perceived us goes a long way to help us help others understand us better and eventually makes our life journey a smoother one.Francis M Limhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05459160066556683393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540034777297323407.post-63304689135840416522009-12-25T15:59:00.002+08:002010-04-20T16:05:30.175+08:00Why use Feng Shui? There were many occasions we were told of limitations whenever we give recommendations to clients. Typical constraint is the cost involved to implement the recommendations.

Many are worried as the property is on rental basis and any designs and structure put up costs money to install and un-install when the lease is over.

Hence, my question is, why use Feng Shui in your business?

When we use Feng Shui, we want is to see results, better results compared when no Feng Shui is used. For businesses, we want to see sales increase, more new clientele and make them buy more, willingly than they would. Isn’t this a good reason enough to implement the changes?

Using Feng Shui should be viewed as an investment, rather than as a liability. For every investment, we expect our asset to make more money for us and the company.

Our recommendations are always geared towards over-achieving the targets that we set. It is our job to create an environment that opens up more opportunities for better business. There is a saying, “money loss, can make it back. Opportunity loss, it’s gone forever.”

Thus, do not be too worried about spending a small sum to make way for bigger returns to come. This is probably all it takes to have a more successful business venture.
Disclaimer: before putting down your money and signature to engage any Feng Shui practitioner, please ensure you do your homework to find out everything you can about them and be sure you are comfortable with them and their services. Engage them at your own discretion and risks.Francis M Limhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05459160066556683393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540034777297323407.post-55401722415354754342009-12-10T16:35:00.007+08:002010-04-20T15:58:18.916+08:00Chinese Metaphysics TombsMany, many years ago, I have ever come across a tomb where the family of their dear beloved crafted a life-size dog figurine that sits by the tomb of its late owner. The story goes that the dog missed its master so much that it died next to the late owner’s grave.

Up until a couple of years ago, I chance upon the following two tombs in Singapore. A group of us decided to checkout this place after reading an article that talks about such tombs.

What is the significance of having such a sculpture on top of a grave? Is it of a religious sect practice, for future descendants prosperity or merely for the love of the animal?

This is so cool! Just don’t pee in your pants if you bump into this at night in one of those late night cemetery excursions.

Francis M Limhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05459160066556683393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540034777297323407.post-57612444758987706342009-04-20T15:19:00.001+08:002010-04-20T15:21:05.513+08:00New Blog Location
Dear Readers,

My blog is now back online.

Hope you enjoy reading them. This mirror is also use by those who are more spiritually inclined to ward off ‘evil’ from coming into the house .

If you are a keen observer, you will notice that in some houses, the tenants would place an octagon-shaped plaque with a mirror in the center just above the main door. This super mirror is known as a Ba Gua mirror. Sometimes a regular mirror is used as a Ba Gua mirror.

The Ba Gua mirror comes in two shapes i.e. Concave-shaped and Convex-shaped. Typical application can be found in apartments or condominiums where the main door of two units is facing each other, divided by a corridor. If one neighbour puts a concave-shaped Ba Gua mirror, the opposite neighbour will put a convex-shaped Ba Gua to ‘counter-act’ the concave Ba Gua. Does this really help? We need to ask the two neighbours.

Put this into perspective. If one neighbour is antagonising the other to the extent that the other neighbour needs to counter-act its action, is this going to create a peaceful environment?

In another application, if you find a tree, a flag-pole, a road or a lamp-post located right in front of your main door, a Ba Gua mirror is used to neutralised the so-called sha qi as mentioned above. Imagine a mirror of about 3 inches in diameter neutralising a sha qi such a road, (if it is indeed a sha qi, but that is another story)…..? :-(

In yet another application, mirrors are recommended next to the dining table or somewhere near the dining table. The reason is to double or triple the amount of food for the household or to ensure that there will always be abundance of food on the dining table.

Sometimes we wonder how all these comes about……anybody wants to be in mirror-making industry?

Mirrors, in Feng Shui application, has its usage but not in the way the new age Feng Shui practitioner promotes it. How to use mirror to your advantage? This is a story for another day… ;-)
Francis M Limhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05459160066556683393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540034777297323407.post-90114672349888808212009-11-23T11:40:00.003+08:002010-04-20T15:17:05.994+08:00Bookshelf behind your back
Recently I was doing a Feng Shui assessment for a client and in the recommendation, I proposed that the child’s study table should be moved from location A to location B within the room.

However, the client was very concern when such a proposal was mentioned. She explained that she has been reading a lot of Feng Shui books and one of the big NO-NO is to sit with your back against book-shelf. According to the books she had read, the bookshelves behind you is a big Sha Qi and it is detrimental to the well-being of a person sitting there.

I explained to the client there is no cause for concern and that the Sha Qi does not manifest from the bookshelf. If it is, there will be no place in our home that we human can live in because there will be similar Sha Qi to be found in every corner of the house, not only bookshelf.

Also, all libraries and book stores will be deserted and empty because you will find more sha qi there than in your own home.

More insights on Sha Qi can be found on this link.

http://vinleo-fengshui.blogspot.com/2009/11/sha-qi-2.html
Francis M Limhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05459160066556683393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540034777297323407.post-12611547498556369772009-07-31T17:24:00.003+08:002010-04-20T15:16:42.574+08:00Fate-Calculation, Superstitious
I have always comes across people who would brushed aside Fate-Calculation as superstition and at the same time, there are people who are still fascinated by it. I would like to quote a paragraph from a book titled “ Chinese Mathematical Astrology”, authored by Ho Peng Yoke.

“…if we were to extend to some of these traditional Chinese methods of fortune-telling the same amount of tolerance that we accord to many of our modern efforts of predicting future events, such as weather forecasting, stock market futures, Gallup polls, etc. – none of which ever guarantees precise accuracy but nevertheless are accepted as legitimate exercises – it can be demonstrated that the Ziping method of fate-calculation is one of those methods worthy of our attention. The Ziping method does not use scientific instruments to observe temperature, air pressure, humidity and air movement as the weather forecaster does, nor computers to analyse the trend of share prices like some stock-market consultants, nor public opinion polls like the political analyst ….. but it is consistent with the same principles that explain traditional science. It does not involve the supernatural and hence the word ‘superstitious’ is not applicable….”

Something we can all think about.
Francis M Limhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05459160066556683393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540034777297323407.post-56981501046897806482009-07-24T10:48:00.003+08:002010-04-20T15:16:33.061+08:00Six Star Columbarium
Was just reading an article on Singapore’s “The Straits Times” newspaper today – Six Star Columbarium. It is going to be Asia’s largest luxury columbarium to be open by 2011. One of the investors is a Malaysian company which is investing SGD50 million to renovate the existing facility in Choa Chu Kang.

Read all about it http://www.straitstimes.com/Breaking%2BNews/Singapore/Story/STIStory_405918.html
Francis M Limhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05459160066556683393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540034777297323407.post-64947499800579219662009-07-15T12:26:00.002+08:002010-04-20T15:16:24.276+08:00Feng Shui Excursion
The last two days was one experience that any Chinese Metaphysics student would not forget. The students were exposed to a daily routine of a Feng Shui Master . The students get the chance to actually witness some of the Feng Shui techniques being deployed and seeing the results that Feng Shui promises to bring. The two-day experience was priceless . For all the money spent in other schools, students do not even have a slightest opportunity to SEE real Feng Shui at work and generating the results that is required.

During the course of two days, we visited the Columbarium at Mandai, the Ong Family tomb at Bukit Brown (one of the biggest tomb in Singapore), retail outlets, F&B outlets, residential houses, fund-managers office and apartments. The students were shown the different methods used in different settings as mentioned above. Imagine the Yin and Yang Feng Shui being deployed in the core of a city like Singapore!

Do we still need to see the dragon in China? Dragons are everywhere, if only you can find it!
Francis M Limhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05459160066556683393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540034777297323407.post-21002366155232454472009-07-12T18:59:00.002+08:002010-04-20T15:16:14.900+08:00BaZi Practitioner
We have just completed a 3-day BaZi Practitioner class for a group of students from Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. It was an eye-opener for some of the students as they have not seen some of the techniques that was used to read a BaZi chart. We have students who have studied from other masters before and it was refreshing for them that a BaZi could be read in a systematic and structured way. We provided clarity.

One student commented that one of the key components that are not covered extensively by other BaZi schools is the palace reading. A simple palace reading is able to convey much information than the so-called “advance” method of reading a BaZi chart . The “advance” method confuses many students that resulted being not able to use by new students embarking on this new study. For beginners, a positive reading builds confidence that will enable students to absorb advance techniques without much difficulty. This is our objective for all our students.

Any more classes coming up? Stay tuned.
Francis M Limhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05459160066556683393noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540034777297323407.post-84806056582268575062009-06-27T09:54:00.003+08:002010-04-20T15:16:04.545+08:00Strange Opening
We were doing a Feng Shui audit recently in the city of Flat-Land Dragon. During one of the many audits we did, a really cool thing happened.

On one occasion at a client’s place, we were observing the altar and the position of the God’s facing. Under normal circumstances, one would place the Gods to face directly in front. But in this case, we could see that while it is facing the front, their faces were looking to the RIGHT!.

Now, this room is very quiet, serene and peaceful. All the windows were shut, with no possibility of strong wind blowing in. Next to this prayer room, there were two smaller rooms, one on the left and the other on the right.

While we were quietly observing the altar, a very soft and slow creaking sound came from the room on the RIGHT. The door just simply opened by itself! When the door was opening, we were expecting someone to actually walk out from that room. But there was none! It was like in the movies. The air was still and yet, the door just opened very gently, almost as if someone is coming out from the room.

Remember what i said earlier? The Gods were looking to the right.
Francis M Limhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05459160066556683393noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540034777297323407.post-6909252413650244942009-06-19T23:48:00.004+08:002010-04-20T15:15:55.947+08:00Better use of time
A quick scan thru most popular blogs often shows the weaknesses of the blogger. A lot of these bloggers often exposes the weaknesses of others in order to bring themselves up “higher”, in accordance to their perception. This is indeed a waste of their talent and resources.

A better way to show how good they really are, is to show how well they do a job and that their skills are indeed top-notch. Most of the time, they are barking up the wrong tree. There is no point in writing fanciful stuff that only they can understand. Fancy but of no value.

Please make better use of your time.
Francis M Limhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05459160066556683393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540034777297323407.post-19372143066949039362009-03-31T16:12:00.002+08:002010-04-20T15:15:47.009+08:00Difficulties in Learning BaZi
Learning to analyse a BaZi chart can both be fun and tormenting at the same time. It is fun after you managed to decode the analysis using methods that can be applied consistently. It is tormenting to get to the part where you can apply the methods consistently.

The issue faced by all beginners is “Where do I start?”. Many times beginners looked at the chart and the chart looked back at them. How do I move from here?

There are many methods being taught in the market today. Most of the methods are based on images or pictorials to assist learners in decoding the chart. For example, Forest fire, candle light, huge tree, small plants, etc. The problem with this method is not many people can look at the same image and convey the same message. Each one of us are different in our outlook of life and our experiences will see things differently. This happens when their situation gotten from good to bad to worst in their life experiences, be it business, relationships, health, etc.

Property selection is the most important activity that one must embark on before anything else to follow. This is to ensure that the property is located in a “productive” surrounding and with the ability to harness auspicious Qi . If the surrounding area is not optimal, our advise is to look for a better place.

We want to start on a right footing. Of course, changes can still be done post-construction. But wouldn’t it be better if we can minimise the changes, changes that are usually costly, by getting a good property first?

Always keep in mind…Selection comes first.
Francis M Limhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05459160066556683393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-540034777297323407.post-57808307017509265202009-02-26T13:38:00.003+08:002010-04-20T15:15:26.207+08:00Let your Strength flourish you
“You cannot be anything you want to be – but you can be a lot more of who you already are.” – Tom Rath, author of Strengths Finder 2.0

An interesting book that focuses on you working with your strengths to lead a better life. We have been told many times to overcome our weaknesses and turn it positively to our advantage. According to Tom Rath, this is the path of most resistance.

We should all be working on our strengths, fulfilling our passion in whatever we do. Our talents are already in us. Why work on things that we are dreadful of? By using our strengths and our in-born talents, the path of “least” resistance, we can achieve more when we do what we do best.

BaZi analysis is one method we can use to identify our strengths, what we are good at and capacity we can excel in. The Strengths Finder requires you to answer a set of questions to determine your talents but a BaZi analysis only needs your date of birth and time.
